Passiflora helleri is a treat. Blooming in winter and early spring for us, enhancing the monotonous forest of foliage in our overwintering area with lovely flowers effusing a delicious scent over several days!

The flowers are held to point upright on very sturdy peduncles, usually 2 per node, and are fairly large for a Decaloba when flat. The flowers tend to stay fairly flat when in shade or on cooler days, however, with a warm sunny day, the flowers then reflex fully, making for a completely different looking flower. Though the foliage has no tendency toward variegation like many other Decaloba, it is still very handsome with glossy uniform leaves, all lining up and facing the same way, making for a symmetrical neat looking vine. I highly recommend it!
